Karachi, July, 2024 : The book launching ceremony of “Namurad Karachi” authored by Khaled Fatmi held today at Arts Council of Karachi.
The book consisted of 400 pages Portrayed the history and true picture of six past decades of Karachi city. The Speakers highlighting the importance of Namurad Karachi” said that the city produced a vast literature and culture in the shape of intellectuals.
They further said that the Karachi which was once a city of social values and morals had almost lost those morals and values in present days, Karachi had been one of the most beautiful cities of the world have been converted into pollution. There was a time when people used to follow Zebra crossing on the roads but people rarely follow follow traffic signals now days.
Mr. Fatmi while presenting the bird’s eye view of the book said that the book ” Namurad Karachi” had the beauty of Meethadar, Kharadar, Bunder Road and Zainab Market, and the history of degenrating karachi simultaneously.
The book launching ceremony was witnessed by President Arts Council of Karachi,Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Parveen Rao, Waqar Azeem Fatmi, Khadim Soomro, Kashif raza, Akeel Abbas Jafri, Akhlaq Ahmed and other notables from the fields of literature, Arts and history participated.
