Mohamed Salah is set to begin a new chapter with Trabzonspor after leaving Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah is on the verge of joining Trabzonspor after the Turkish Super Lig club confirmed it has opened transfer negotiations with the Egyptian forward, who became a free agent following the end of his Liverpool career.

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan said the club kept the negotiations confidential to avoid disrupting the transfer process. He described Salah as a world-class player and said the club believed his arrival would be a major boost. The club also teased the move with a social media video featuring an Egyptian pyramid and the message, “Always believing.”

Mohamed Salah is expected to arrive in Istanbul to complete his medical examination before travelling to Trabzon to finalise his contract. Multiple reports indicate the agreement will keep the 34-year-old at the club until 2028, although the final paperwork is still being completed. Trabzonspor has officially confirmed that negotiations are underway, but the transfer will become official only after the contract is signed and all formalities are completed.
