Karachi: Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus organized an annual meeting in which District Governor Rotary International District 3271 Syed Tahzeeb Ul Hassan Kazmi official visited the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus.
On this occasion, PP & District Peace and Conflict Prevention/ Resolution Committee Chair RID 3271 Muhammad Ali Haider and Founder & Secretary Aslam Khaliq welcomed the guests. Ali Haider said that the reconciliation committee is being established with the Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus Police.
Muhammad Ali Haider told District Governor Rotary International District 3271 Syed Tahzeeb Ul Hassan Kazmi details about this project.
He said that suggestions have been given to the IG Sindh about the reconciliation committee that this committee should be established at each district level and 10 people from Rotary International should be included in the committee. Ali Haider said that IG Sindh has approved to start it from District South.
President of Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus Syed Khurram Anis presented the annual performance report of the club. He said that three or four projects were started by us last year with former President Ali Haider, one project was of Central Jail School in which we adopted a school. We changed its structure to become an excellent school and we were successful in this project.
Apart from this, we have adopted a building in the Police Headquarters Garden and will renovate it to make a bazaar for women where the sisters, wives, or daughters of police martyrs, injured can work and run their own homes.
Further, Dr. Khalid Sheikh who is our Health Committee Chair, worked proactively whenever anyone needed. He also did great work in Polio Campaign. Rotary also did a great job for the flood victims.
Syed Tahzeeb Ul Hassan Kazmi said that all Rotarians are respectable to me. The purpose of coming here is to discuss what is lacking so that the incoming team can address that deficiency. So, among the clubs we have now is the one-of-a-kind Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus which is working so well. My heartiest congratulations to all the members of your club.
