Karachi, April 15, 2026 — The Kharadar General Hospital School of Nursing organized a free health camp at the Hawke’s Bay Younisabad Basic Health Unit, providing medical services to hundreds of deserving patients in the area.

The camp offered free medical check-ups, diagnostic tests, medicines, spectacles, and other healthcare facilities to local residents as part of a community welfare initiative.
Inaugurating the camp, hospital president and industrialist Muhammad Bashir Janmuhammad said that rising inflation and economic challenges have increased hardships for the common population, making community welfare initiatives a national responsibility.
He praised the efforts of nursing students, calling the initiative a strong example of humanitarian service and professional dedication.
Director of Nursing Sindh Najma Mangi emphasized the importance of ethical responsibility and service-oriented training in addressing challenges in the healthcare sector.
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Khalid Iqbal highlighted the need to promote health awareness to prevent disease, stating that a healthy society is essential for national development.
Director of the nursing school Talat Parveen Shah stressed the role of modern social media in spreading awareness about disease prevention and encouraged young nursing professionals to serve with commitment and compassion.
Medical Director Brigadier Dr. Aftab Ahmed, Principal Muhammad Shahid, local THO officials, community elders, and social leaders also attended the event and reviewed the facilities provided at various stalls.
Nursing students also conducted preliminary field surveys in the area ahead of the camp to identify health issues and ensure targeted medical support and awareness activities.
