KARACHI – Patron-in-Chief of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) S.M Muneer and President Sheikh Umer Rehan have welcomed the decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan to allow extension/reappointment of Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, in office.
SM Muneer said that the decision will strengthen the stability and prosperity of Pakistan. He applauded the extraordinary contribution of Gen Bajwa for defending the country from internal and external threats and making national security more strong.
He said that Gen Bajwa had served the nation remarkably, with his visionary leadership our forces defeated the enemy on the borders and inside the country as well. He said that PM Khan aspired the public sentiments by deciding extension /reappointing of COAS in office.
President of KATI Sheikh Umer Rehan also praised and welcome the apex court judgment and term it as sign strengthening state institutions.
He said that the business community welcomes the decision because it would be helpful to restore the confidence of investors and stable economic conditions, he added. While appreciating the meritorious services of DG Rangers Sindh, Sheikh Umer Rehan said that Maj. Gen. Umer Ahmed Bukhari is doing a great job in controlling the crimes in Sindh, especially in Karachi, due to his remarkable efforts the crime rate has gone down which ultimately results in the betterment of the economy.
