Trump Could Order Major Strikes on Iran After US and Israeli Elections

Iran Strikes report examines possible US military action after elections amid rising Middle East tensions.

Iran Strikes Reports raise concerns over possible US military action after American and Israeli elections.

US President Donald Trump could order major new strikes against Iran after elections in Israel and the United States The report suggests that preparations may already be underway for a possible escalation of the conflict.

Israel is scheduled to hold elections on October 27, when voters will choose their next prime minister. The United States will hold midterm elections on November 3, with all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 Senate seats up for election. Voters in 36 states will also elect governors.

Political Pressure Could Delay Further Strikes

Trump’s public statements suggest that a renewed attack on Iran before the November 3 midterm elections may be less likely. His Republican Party faces the possibility of losing its majority in one or both chambers of Congress.

Rising fuel prices linked to the war have added to concerns about the cost of living in the United States. These economic pressures could influence voters and create additional political challenges for the administration ahead of the elections.

Trump previously said the Middle East war would end within a few weeks. However, recent developments have raised concerns that the conflict could intensify rather than wind down.

US Military Deployments Raise Tensions

The report says the United States has already deployed a third aircraft carrier and sent an additional 10,000 Marines towards the Gulf region.

Meanwhile, personnel numbers at some US military bases in the Middle East have reportedly been reduced. These bases have sustained significant damage in Iranian retaliatory attacks, according to the report.

The military movements have added to speculation about Washington’s next steps as tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran continue.

Experts Warn of Possible Renewed Bombing

A Middle East expert affiliated with the Brookings Institution reportedly believes that the available signs point towards a possible resumption of the war, potentially involving large-scale aerial bombardment.

Ali Vaez, an Iran specialist at the International Crisis Group, warned that Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could view the conflict as a way to overcome their respective political difficulties.

However, Vaez cautioned that a war intended to protect their political futures could ultimately damage them instead.

The possibility of renewed strikes remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the reported military preparations, political pressures and continuing regional tensions have intensified concerns about another escalation in the Middle East.
