KATI seeks to establish a missing link between Industry and Academia

KARACHI – A delegation of the National University of Science & Technology (NUST) called on the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI). On this occasion, Senior Vice President of KATI Muhammad Ikram Rajput welcomed the delegation headed by Pro-Rector of NUST Rear Admiral (R) Dr. Nasar Ikram.

He said that for industrialization a strong working relationship between industry and academia is need of time. Vice President KATI Syed Wajid Hussain noted that many issues regarding the cost of doing business can be resolved with research and development; we need to establish this missing link between the educational institutions and industry.

Head of KATI’s standing committee on Seminar & Workshops, Zaki Sharif told that soon an MoU would be signed between NUST and KATI and a committee would be in place for better cooperation.

Pro-Rector of NUST Dr. Nasar told that NUST is the top science university of Pakistan, more than 70000 students participate in its entry tests. He also urged for a closer relationship between industry, educational and research institutions. Head of Advancement in NUST has given a presentation regarding the university to the participants of the meeting.
