Karachi, April 8, 2026: The Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has praised Pakistan’s successful diplomacy in brokering the recent US–Iran ceasefire, highlighting the critical role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

Patron-in-Chief S.M. Tanveer, President Muhammad Ikram Rajput, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, and the Executive Committee commended Pakistan’s timely intervention for reducing regional tensions, averting potential escalation, and contributing to global peace.
KATI officials noted that the ceasefire has already positively impacted Pakistan’s economy, including a surge in the Pakistan Stock Exchange and a decline in energy prices. They highlighted the international recognition of Pakistan’s efforts by global leaders, including the presidents of the US and Iran, reflecting the country’s strengthened standing in world diplomacy.
The association emphasized that maintaining stability in the Middle East will not only promote global peace but also support trade, industrial growth, and economic stability worldwide. KATI reaffirmed its commitment to assist the government and military leadership in furthering Pakistan’s economic development and sustaining a positive global image.
