LAHORE – Former Indian Cricketer and Minister of Indian Punjab Navjot Singh Sidhu also arrived through Wagah Border in Lahore on Tuesday.
Talking to newsmen at the border, he said Kartarpur will be Peace Corridor between two countries.
He said the religion should never be seen with political eye.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has fulfilled its promise. Navjot Singh Sidhu said he is grateful to Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan for this gesture.
He said that Indian people are waiting for Pakistan India cricket matches as well.
Later, talking to newsmen at Press Club Lahore, he said the Sikh community is very happy on the decision of government of Pakistan regarding opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.
Navjot Singh Sidhu said tomorrow will be a historic day as our wishes are going to fulfill after a long time.
He said that Baba Nanak was the ambassador of love and peace. He said no one in India opposed him and he came here with the message of love.
The Indian Punjab Minister expressed the hope that the Corridor will increase economic activities and usher in new era of prosperity.
Replying to a question, Navjot Singh Sidhu said our dream has come true after seventy-one years.
