INDIA – MUMBAI : A husband, frightened by his wife’s Facebook post, made such a unique decision regarding the future of their marriage that everyone was shocked. According to Indian media, a husband in the Bulandshahr district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh allowed his wife to live with her acquaintance out of fear for his life. The husband, Rajkumar, claims that his wife was having an affair with someone else and that she often threatened to kill him and go to her acquaintance. In July last year, his wife left him and their six-month-old baby, saying she was going to her parents’ house, but according to Rajkumar, she had been living with her acquaintance for a month. Rajkumar said that whenever I tried to question her, she would ask me for evidence. Recently, when she was talking to her acquaintance on the phone, I snatched her phone. On checking the phone, I found some objectionable photos and stories of murder shared on Facebook, titled ‘Story of Cement and Drums’. The husband took this as a sign of a plan to kill her and filed a complaint with the police. During the reconciliation process, the wife made it clear that she wanted to live with her acquaintance instead of Rajkumar, after which Rajkumar decided to let her go. ‘Blue Drum and Cement’ is related to the gruesome murder case of March 2025 in which a woman named Muskan, along with her acquaintance, killed her husband Saurabh Rajput. They cut Saurabh’s body into 15 pieces and hid them in a blue drum filled with cement in their house in the Brahmapuri area of Meerut.
