Karachi, 21 May 2025: Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Business Group (PBGO) and former President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Faraz-ur-Rehman, has congratulated General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), Chief of Army Staff, on his historic promotion to the rank of Field Marshal.

In a press statement, Faraz-ur-Rehman said that this prestigious promotion, officially notified by the Ministry of Defence on May 20, 2025, is a proud moment in Pakistan’s history and reflects the highest level of trust in General Asim Munir’s leadership, strategic foresight, and exemplary service to the nation.

“This decision is not only a significant recognition of General Munir’s unwavering commitment to national security but also a symbol of institutional strength and continuity,” said Faraz-ur-Rehman.

He added that under General Munir’s leadership, the armed forces have remained a pillar of strength, ensuring internal stability and upholding Pakistan’s sovereignty in the face of evolving regional challenges. “This promotion will further strengthen civil-military relations and boost investor confidence by reinforcing the environment of stability and continuity.”

Faraz-ur-Rehman emphasized that the business community stands united in its support and respect for the armed forces and views this development as a positive step towards national cohesion and progress.
