The FPCCI Standing Committee on Cultural Development held its second meeting on November 4, 2024, at the FPCCI Head Office Karachi. Chaired by Jawed Iqbal, Convener of the Committee, the meeting was attended by prominent members, including Ms Farzana Masud, Akram Khan Kohati, Sultan Muhammad Khan, Ms Laiba Khan, Harris, and Ms Shamsa. Syed Raza Abbas Rizvi, Senior Director of KMC, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Jawed Iqbal reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, praising Syed Raza Abbas Rizvi’s invaluable support and cooperation.
The committee decided to organize Sindh Culture Day in collaboration with KMC to showcase the province’s ancient and vibrant culture. The members were to d the view that Friar Hall will be ideal location for the event. The event will Showcase Sindh’s cultural richness, promote tourism, and foster community engagement. Traditional dresses, ornaments, cuisines, folk music, and performances will also main part of the event . Sindh Tourism and Heritage Ministry, financial institutions, and prominent businessmen will be approached for the event where One stall each will be given to all Sindh government departments Syed Raza Abbas Rizvi welcomed the proposal and assured full support from his office. The event aims to provide a platform for prominent folk singers and performers to showcase their talents.
By celebrating Sindh Cultural Day, the FPCCI Standing Committee seeks to promote unity, diversity, and cultural exchange, ultimately contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.
