Karachi, December 14, 2025: Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), Pakistan’s Best Islamic Bank, reaffirmed its commitment to Care, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by supporting the 11th Special Olympics Pakistan (SOP) Unified Marathon. This annual event stands as a beacon of hope and unity, bringing together differently abled athletes and individuals from all walks of life to celebrate resilience, equality and the power of community.

Held at Emaar Sales Center, DHA Phase 8, the marathon witnessed an overwhelming response from citizens, volunteers, and athletes who ran side by side, breaking barriers and fostering inclusion. The 1KM unified run/walk/wheelchair segment of the event was inaugurated by Mr. Yousaf Hussain, President & CEO, Faysal Bank, alongside Ronak Lakhani, Founder & Chairperson, Special Olympics Pakistan.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Yousaf Hussain emphasized the Bank’s vision for an inclusive future; “Alhamdulillah, we have proudly supported this noble cause alongside Special Olympics Pakistan for many years, reflecting our shared vision of an inclusive society where every individual is respected and valued.

Witnessing these athletes demonstrate such strength and determination is truly inspiring. We are grateful to Special Olympics Pakistan for their incredible work and for allowing us to contribute to this meaningful journey. Our promise is to continue championing initiatives that unite people and celebrate the dignity of every human
being.”

Sharing her thoughts, Ronak Lakhani, Founder & Chairperson Special Olympics Pakistan highlighted the transformative power of inclusion; “The SOP Unified Marathon is more than an event — it is a movement for dignity, respect, and opportunity for all.
Faysal Bank’s unwavering support reflects a deep commitment to equity, compassion, and true inclusion. Together, we are shaping a future where differences are celebrated and every individual’s potential is valued. My heartfelt gratitude to Faysal Bank and the entire Special Olympics Pakistan team for helping turn this vision into reality.”

Faysal Bank’s enduring partnership with SOP reflects its commitment to building an inclusive society. The Bank remains dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and care while creating opportunities that empower individuals. This initiative reinforces a culture of empathy, acceptance and hope across Pakistan.

At the 11th SOP Unified Marathon 2025 Mohammad Akhtar won the men's 21km half marathon, securing gold. Amin Mokatil claimed silver, and Sadiq Shah took bronze.

In the women's 21km half marathon, Soha Punawala topped the podium. Sahar Ali won silver, and Khadija secured bronze.

Shakir Usman won the 10km race, followed by Raza and Zishan. In the women's 10km, 9-year-old Kainat Ibrahim, a National Games bronze medalist,
emerged victorious. Manahal Shah and Aisha secured second and third places, respectively.

Ali Hassan won the 5km race, followed by Muhammad Akram and Zulfikar Ali.

In the women's 5km, National Games gold medalist Mah Noor Fatima took the top spot.
Aleena Khan and Mahak Hanif secured second and third places, respectively.
