Karachi (Staff Reporter): Rotary Club of Karachi Clifton and Rotary International District 3271 organized an event to commemorate Rotary Pakistan Literacy Mission by distributing 500 books and stationary items amongst children of Kotwal GGBBS under the theme of Value Education to inculcate values of love, harmony, sacrifice, helping others and ampathy in our young ones wherein Awards, Certificates were handed over to the Teacher’s who underwent training and for cooperation of Rotary Officials were handed over mementos on in glittering function. District Governor 3271 Aftab Imam graced the function as the chief guest of the event. District Literacy Chair PDG Lt. ® Engr. Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi, District Secretary Rtn Kashif Rafi also were present in the event. All club members are to be commended for their active participation and presence.
For selfless service Club president PHF Rtn Farnaz Jabeen and Club literacy chair Rtn. Akbar Rehman were presented the shield in the end of the event.
Trainer Marya Haleema (ECE) and yoga trainer Arshad Kamal Sethi has been awarded shields by District Govornor 3271 Aftab Imam.
Special moment of the event was when PDG Lt. ® Engr. Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi requested the audience to chant Pakistan Zindabad and Ms. Urooj Chanted in very high pitch she was rewarded 5000 cash price by PDG Iqbal Qureshi in appreciation of her dedication towards the Pakistan.
As goodwill gesture on teacher’s day lunch was served by Rotary Club of Karachi Clifton and Rotary International District 3271 to entire staff of Kotwal School. We cannot pay back for the dedication of our teachers but we can appreciate them in any way.
