Standing guilty and ashamed today, we honestly make this confession We have miserably offended mother earth, by changing your dimension Our dear planet we do accept, to have damaged your beauty big time Unknowingly and unconsciously, but we have regularly done this crime Mankind hasn’t been kind to you mother earth, remains a painful fact We kept voicing sermons aloud, but miserably failed to practically act Let our minds be crystal clear, and let there remain no slightest doubt We are to be blamed for hurting earth, with heat waves and drought Instead of planting more, we have been cutting those old green trees In lust of commercial gains, we ourselves have bought great worries Butterflies are vanishing, and flowers don’t bloom as they use to did Mercury is rising by the year, and birds don’t find their nestling grid Why don’t clouds burst anymore, why don’t we have much rainfall? Do we ever wonder, why answers to such queries make us feel small We cannot thank enough all those generations, who lived before us They planted ample trees, so that we can breathe without any stress We are the only ones, who make mother earth suffer every single day But again we are ones, who can help her in taking those pains away Just need some wisdom and commitment, to let common sense prevail Let’s start planting saplings in our backyards, for more oxygen to inhale Time is flying, and ahead of words we have to take immediate actions Vasfy it will suggest, whether we do truly love our future generations
