Punjab: Azma Zahid Bokhari, the Minister of Information and Culture in Punjab, has called out a case of fake news involving a YouTuber’s fan page. She noticed that a video from 2022, featuring an elderly man encouraging people to attend a PTI rally, was shared again in 2024 with a misleading claim that it was a new message.
In her tweet, she joked, “Baba G aik hi libaas main 2 saal pehly B wohi baatien kr rhy thy or aaj bhii wohi keh rahy hain,” meaning the old man is saying the same thing after two years. She humorously suggested that the PTI should either change the old man or let him rest.
Another user, Rab Nawaz Baloch, pointed out that the elderly man had been seen leaving Imran Riaz’s house in the same outfit back in 2022. Someone else commented, “Baba G abhii Naya Pakistan k raasty main hain,” highlighting the confusion.
Bokhari’s comments remind everyone to check facts before sharing information on social media.
