Aroosa Rana’s solo exhibition , The Golden Ratio – Math of Beauty
I overlay the golden ratio onto images of Gaza , commenting on how a symbol of classical harmony is used to frame devastation. The spiral , associated with divine proportion & visual perfection, becomes a form of camouflage.
By imposing order onto ruins , the work questions how beauty can aestheticize violence .The composition guides the eye , softens rupture , and risks turning suffering into something consumable .”
Aroosa Rana is a critically acclaimed interdisciplinary artist and art educator, who has exhibited her work widely at national & international forums, including museums and biennials. An Associate Professor at BNU , Lahore , Aroosa explores the interplay of time , space & visual culture.
