Air India parked its passenger plane at the airport and forgot about it for 13 years.
INDIA – KOLKATA : The missing Air India plane has been found parked at Kolkata airport after 13 years. The Boeing 737-200 aircraft, which had been lying idle for the past 13 years, has finally been sent to Bengaluru where it will be used for training engineers. According to details, this is the 14th inoperative aircraft to be removed from an Indian airport in the last five years. A new airport hangar will now be built at this location. Surprisingly, Air India had no information about this aircraft. This is the only aircraft that was sold with its two engines, while the remaining 9 aircraft were sold without engines.
