Mr Iftikhar Ali Malik a global business leader of Pakistan & president of SAARC chamber rejected the increase in bank rate. He worriedly said that this wrong decision is going to further slow down the SME sector and cut down the ecnomic activities in the country to further increase in un employment. Mr Malik stated that government must ensure that this increase may not effect the poor citizen and the prices of food products. He said that some subsidy must be given to the poor.Mr Malik stated that there is an increase of 60% in imports of un necessary imports which must be stopped. He said that Pakistan is big country of South Asia and Pakistan can increase its exports to these South Asian countries. He stated that Pakistan must maintain its strategic position of defence forces & atomic strength for the safety of the friendly countries of South Asia.He said SAARC chamber can play a vital role to link trade in South Asia.
