Karachi (February 28, 2023) Provincial Minister for Energy, Industry, Trade, Investment, Skilled Development, Punjab and Patron General of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) SM Tanveer has said that the business community is the biggest stakeholder of Pakistan and the business community has always contributed to the economy of Pakistan ever since it came into being
We die and live with Pakistan and we hope that the economic policies of the country should be made in consultation with the representatives of the business community who are real front line economic soldiers.
He expressed these views yesterday while addressing the meeting of UBG Sindh Core Committee at SM Munir Conference Hall. In the meeting, UBG Chairman Shehzad Ali Malik, President UBG Zubair Tufail , Central Senior Vice Chairman Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Chairman Sindh Zone Khalid Tawab, Secretary General Sindh Zone Hanif Gohar, Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, Gulzar Feroze, Ikhtiar Baig, Malik Khudabakhsh, Abdul Sami Khan, Shakeel Dhingra, Mumtaz Sheikh, Mian Arshad Farooq, Ikram Rajput, Noor Ahmad Khan, Muslim Mohammadi, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Shaheen A. Ilyas Sarwana, Maryam Chaudhry, Naheed Masood, Zahid Numdar and other members of UBG was also present.

According to central spokesperson UBG Gulzar Feroz, Provincial Minister Punjab Mr. SM Tanveer in his address to the meeting vowed to serve the business community like his father SM Munir and give it rightful place. He said that the business community had been deprived of honest and excellent leadership resulted in a lack of vocal leadership for the business community in the apex trade bodies hence they miserably failed to perform their due role. He emphasized on the need to intensify struggle to reinvigorate the United Business Group in the Federation and to encourage the representatives of the business community.
Networking and exchange of communications with trade bodies isthe need of hour which need to be speeded up across the country so that the problems of business community can be brought to the government to get them resolved. He said that the doors of dishonest people entering the trade representative institutions should be closed for good. S M Muneer never believed in dishonestly and malpractices in the election, that’s why his opposition group gained the power of the federation by unfair means.
In the circumstances, the business community facing big challenges and despite adverse conditions our business community has kept the economy moving, he added while saying that he does nit need any position in UBG but we all will fulfill SM Munir’s goal for a better future of the business community.
Shahzad Ali Malik said that United Business Group is fully active and geared up and will soon initiate its personal one on one meeting the the representatives and leaders of trade bodies
He also announced that UBG central core committee meeting will soon be held in Lahore in the month of March in which revolutionary decisions will be taken.
Shahzad Ali Malik expressed his determination to fulfill the hopes of business community and UBG members.
President UBGZubair Tufail said that the UBG is united to face all the challenges ahead and the people associated with the group that came to power through unfair means have tarnished the reputation of FPCCI. It has been painfully destroyed, but the United Business Group coming to power will not only improve the image of Fpcci in national level but on international level as well. He added that administration of fpcci will also be held accountable. Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan said that Munirbhai Jan was our only leader and we were proud of his decisions. He used to unite the business community but today the business community is divided in the Federation House.
Chairman Sindh Zone Khalid Tawab said that we are united In case of success in the election, we will once again complete the mission and dream of our leader SM Munir and make the federation not only financially successful but also a successful organization. Hanif Gohar said that the voters of Sindh are with UBG, we will close the doors of rigging in the upcoming elections of the Federation so that the supremacy of truth and justice prevails which is part of our training given by S M Muneer bhaijan. Akhtiar Baig said that UBG members should be active all over Pakistan to actively participate in fpcci forthcoming elections.
He further added that UBG will have meetings with the trade bodies
Malik Khudabakhsh said that after listening to SM Tanveer’s conversation and seeing him, it feels that SM Munir is in front of us. Gulzar Feroze said that The new journey of UBG is starting strong and once again the flag of UBG will be flying high across Pakistan.
