US Consulate Karachi organized a self-defense training program.

Karachi: U.S. Consulate Karachi organized self-defense training for 180 girls and 15 teachers at the Dawood Public School. The training was led by certified martial arts instructor Sergeant Avery Ragan and Marine Security Guards from Detachment Karachi who demonstrated self-defense techniques and strategies to empower and build participant’s self-confidence.

Girls shouldn’t need self-defense training to protect themselves, everyone should respect women and girls. But until we as a global society accomplish this goal, we will work to protect girls from violence of all kinds.
