Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz reshuffled the cabinet and appointed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the Prime Minister.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report, Khadim al-Haramain al-Shorfeen issued a decree to change the cabinet.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued a royal decree on Tuesday appointing Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the head of the Council of Ministers (Prime Minister).
According to SPA, King Salman bin Abdulaziz has issued several royal decrees according to which Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman has been appointed as the Minister of Defense.
According to the royal decree, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz will be the Crown Prince and head of the Council of Ministers.
This decision has been made as an exception to Article 56 of the Saudi Constitution and the relevant provisions mentioned in the Law of the Council of Ministers.
According to the royal decree, Talal bin Abdullah bin Turki al-Otaibi has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Defense.
In the new cabinet, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has been retained as Saudi Arabia’s energy minister.
