The Citizens Foundation (TCF) has delivered more than one million meals to flood affectees in sixteen districts of Pakistan including Mirpurkhas, Badin, Shikarpur, Dadu, Hyderabad, and Khairpur. The-ongoing relief efforts begun as a response to the flood crisis.
TCF is using its extensive network of schools in rural and urban areas to address the immediate needs of affected families residing nearby. TCF has already provided 1,103,345 meals to communities whose lives continue to be disrupted as a result of unprecedented floods.
The organisation intends to provide 5 million meals for flood affectees and help reconstruct homes for 9000 families once the flood water recedes.
Since 27 years, TCF is committed to making quality education accessible for the lesser privileged children of Pakistan. Due to the magnitude of the flood damage, a large number of residents have lost their homes and sources of income, making it likely that the number of out-of-school children will increase. To prevent school dropouts, TCF will continue to work on multiple fronts to sustain its school communities in this difficult time.
