Federal Tax Ombudsman has appointed Ms. Naima Ansari, President, Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) as Honorary Coordinator (Business Liaison) to FTO Secretariat.
The decision was taken keeping in view the services of Ms Ansari for the business community and her keen interest in promoting the women entrepreneurs.
A notification has been issued by the FTO Secretariat has been issued which says that the coordinator will be responsible for liaison with local chambers, trade associations, market associations, general trade bodies and other business related organizations.
The coordinator will also liaison with taxpayers and present problems faced by
taxpayers, their issues, conflicts and concerns with special focus on businesswomen facing issues with FBR.
The Coordinator will act proactively for immediate redressed of grievances, search for methods to improve efficiency and integrity of the tax machinery, the notification said.
The coordinator will foster relationship of FTO office with the business community stakeholders and serve as bridge between private sector and FTO office.
Ms. Ansari will also seek recommendations, views and comments from business circles regarding any changes and improvements of the existing tax laws, procedures and policies and that FTO will also assign other duties to her from time to time.
Reacting on the development, Naima Ansari thanked ICCI and FTO and said that she is grateful for the trust of these esteemed organisations and that she will try her best to serve the interests of the business community.
Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah, President ICCI Shakeel Munir, Group Leader ICCI Khalid Malik, SVP IWCCI Sadaf Asim Abbasi and others were also present on the occasion.
