Political instability in the country has sent the US dollar skyrocketing, with the dollar hitting an all-time high in the interbank.
At the close of interbank business, the dollar was at Rs 239 94 paise.
The price of the dollar has increased by 3 rupees 92 paise in the Interbank today, while the dollar has become expensive by 35 rupees 9 paise in the entire month of July.
On the other hand, the dollar has become expensive by 3 rupees to 244 rupees in the open market.
Pakistan Stock Exchange, mixed start of business
Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has had a mixed start to business.
The PSX 100 index is at 40,025 after gaining 52 points.
It should be noted that yesterday in the open market, the price of one dollar increased by 4 rupees to 241 rupees.
Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that when the political situation changes overnight, the market shows the same effect.
He said that political instability and current account deficit are the main reasons for the increase in the dollar rate.
