Senior leader of People’s Party and well-known lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan gave his opinion on the decision of Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Mohammad Mazari and said that I think the decision of Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly is not correct.
Aitzaz Ahsan commented on the decision of the Deputy Speaker in the proceedings of the Provincial Assembly meeting for the Chief Ministership of Punjab and said that it is a run-off election and Parvez Elahi has won in it.
He said that the first part of Article 63A is at the discretion of the parliamentary party and the second part is at the discretion of the party leader because the parliamentary party can take a better decision.
Aitzaz Ahsan further said that 10 out of 10 members of Q-League decided in favor of Pervez Elahi, the parliamentary head will ask the party head to take action against the defecting members.
He said that Asif Zardari did what a politician should do and it is his right, he tried to ask for votes, this was Chaudhry Shujaat’s thinking.
The eminent lawyer also said that there will be a huge rift in the Chaudhry brothers’ family, with Mons Elahi on one side and Chaudhry Salik on the other.
He said that even Boris Johnson was trying to vote till the end, if the letter went only to the Deputy Speaker, then it has no legal status.
Aitzaz Ahsan said that I do not say the best, but the best solution is the immediate general election. Even after the election, the problems will not end.
He said that if a group is formed in the party, the instructions of the party head should have come in public and in newspapers.
