Benefits of subsidized petrol from Saudi Arabia should be passed on to the people: KATI

KARACHI – President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Salman Aslam thanked the Prime Minister for maintaining the prices of petroleum products. He said that this move of the government would provide some relief to the industrialists including the people.

Salman Aslam said that in the current rate of inflation, the people and industrialists could not bear the burden of a further increase in petroleum products, while importers and exporters could not afford the increase in production costs.

President KATI further said that the benefits received from Saudi Arabia of low-cost petrol should be passed on to the people. This will enable the industrialists to cover the damage caused by inflation and increased production costs.

Salman Aslam appealed to the Prime Minister to review the prices of petroleum products on a monthly basis.
