Google fired 48 employees for sexual harassment

CALIFORNIA: Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai said on Thursday the organization had let go 48 workers for lewd behavior in the course of recent years.

Pichai sent an email to Google representatives in light of a New York Times story that was distributed before in the day.

The report said the web crawler goliath shielded three senior administrators from charges of sexual offense by offering them payouts.

The email, a duplicate of which was seen by wire administrations, said of the 48 that were terminated, 13 were senior supervisors or held more senior posts.

“We are focused on guaranteeing that Google is a working environment where you can feel safe to do your best work, and where there are not kidding ramifications for any individual who acts improperly,” the email said.
