Karachi: The meeting of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) Standing Committee on HealthCare and Medical Devices held at Federation House. President of FPCCI Nassser Hyatt Magoo and Chairman Standing Committee Masood Ahmed jointly presided over the meeting. Most important issues of HealthCare and Medical Devices and Diagnostic Industry have been discussed.
Participants of the meeting demanded the Government to immediately issue the SROs for exemption of Sales Tax and Income Tax on import of Medical Devices used for treatment and diagnostics of COVID19’s patients.
Participants of the meeting also demanded of Government for issuance of the SRO for Sales Tax and Income Tax exemption on import of Auto Disposable Syringes.
A participant of the meeting has said that Regulation rules for Medical Devices and Diagnostic Industry should be amended for ease of work.
Committee members demanded the Government to resolve the problems of Medical Devices and Diagnostic Industry and delay to resolve the issues should worsen humanitarian crises and result in hardship in treatment of Corona Patients.
