Make A Wish Foundation is an international and non-profit organization which was founded on April 29, 1980 in United States. Richard K. Davis is the president and CEO of this foundation. As it is present in 50 above countries, Pakistan is also one of them. Mr. Ishtiaq Baig is the founding president of Make A Wish Foundation in Pakistan. He has done double graduation and Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership from UK. He is also the Consul General of Morocco, other than this he’s a well wisher for the children. Because of his untiring efforts, Make A Wish Foundation is introduced in Pakistan. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), DARAZ, SUI Southern Gas Company Limited and some others are the cooperate partners of this foundation.
It was all started because of a wish of one of a 7 year old boy who was battling with Leukemia, his wish was to become a police officer. Basically Make A wish Foundation fulfils the wishes of the children those are critically ill.
There are many wishes that have been fulfilled by Make A Wish Foundation, as many of the children wanted to perform Umrah with their parents, another child wanted to meet Maulana Tariq Jameel, another one want a room on the theme of Disney Frozen and many more.
On August 18, 2020, a ceremony was organized by Make A Wish Foundation which was attended by celebrities and people of Karachi in which a wish of many of the children came true which was to meet the famous Turkish Actor Engin Altan who is the main part of the most famous Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul.
What role we can play in this amazing work is, we can donate, we can refer a wish child and we can adopt a wish or you can join it as a volunteer and as corporate partner. Nothing is more important than the happiness of these Childs.
