KARACHI – K-Electric team rescued industrial workers trapped in a fire at a factory in the North Karachi Industrial Area. According to details, fire brigade personnel arrived late to extinguish the fire at the towel factory in North Karachi Industrial Area. However, the K-Electric team rescued the workers trapped in the fire.
President North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry, Naseem Akhtar said that the fire brigade arrived late. Firefighters did not have safety equipment or smoke masks and Nkati provided them masks.
“If K-Electric’s team did not take timely relief action, many lives would have been lost. Delays in controlling the fire cost the factory millions of rupees”, Naseem Akhtar lauded.
Nkati president further said that the fire brigade had been equipped with safety equipment, the factory could have been saved from a loss of Rs. 3 to 4 million. He requested the Sindh government to provide safety equipment to Firefighters, so that they can save human lives on time.
