IMF ready to support poor countries for debt relief in face of coronavirus

WEB DESK – International Monetary Fund (IMF) has expressed willingness to support poor countries for debt relief in the face of coronavirus pandemic.

IMF spokesman Gerry Rice told a regular news briefing in Washington that more than half of the 73 poor countries are eligible for the program prompted by the pandemic and so far twenty countries have requested for relief.
