Pakistan Air Force Observes Martyrs’ Day Across the Country
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu pays tribute to PAF martyrs at Air Headquarters.
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) observed Martyrs’ Day on September 7 at its bases across the country.
The day honoured PAF martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for Pakistan. It also paid tribute to their courage, valour and devotion to duty.
Special Prayers for the Martyrs
The ceremonies began with special prayers and Quran Khawani.
Tributes were offered to the Shuhada of the 1965 and 1971 wars. Prayers were also held for the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq.
Sindh Governor Meets University Leaders to Address Education Challenges
The ceremonies also remembered PAF personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty since Pakistan’s independence.
Air Chief Pays Tribute
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, attended the Martyrs’ Day ceremony at Air Headquarters in Islamabad as chief guest.
The Air Chief paid tribute to the PAF martyrs. He said their sacrifices form the foundation of the force’s proud legacy.
He highlighted their courage, professionalism and commitment to Pakistan’s defence.
Moreover, he said the sacrifices of previous generations remain a living legacy. He added that they place a major responsibility on the present generation.
Martyrs’ Legacy to Be Preserved
The Chief of the Air Staff said the martyrs remain symbols of courage and national resolve.
He said their legacy reminds the nation of the sacred responsibility of defending the motherland.
The Air Chief later laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument. He also offered Fateha in remembrance of the fallen PAF personnel.
The ceremonies across PAF bases reflected the force’s continued commitment to honouring its martyrs and preserving their legacy.
