SABS University Holds Youth Art Exhibition to Honour Defence Day Martyrs
SABS University Jamshoro, in collaboration with the Sindh Youth Affairs Department, organised a youth art exhibition to honour the martyrs and heroes of Pakistan’s Defence Day.

JAMSHORO: Shaheed Allah Bukhsh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages held the exhibition in collaboration with the Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh.
The event highlighted the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and the heroes of September 6, 1965. Students used art and posters to express themes of patriotism, courage and national service.
Students Showcase Defence Day Artwork
The exhibition was inaugurated at the Department of Fashion Design. Students displayed a range of artworks and posters dedicated to the martyrs of Defence Day.
Their work highlighted the bravery and sacrifices of those who defended the country during the 1965 war.
The exhibition also provided young artists with an opportunity to express national themes through creative work.

Awards Ceremony Held at University
The Awards and Certificates Distribution Ceremony was later held at the university’s Mini Auditorium.
Additional Secretary of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, Dr. Asad Ishaq, attended as the Chief Guest.
Deputy Director of the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Sindh, Sayed Habibullah, was the Guest of Honour. Assistant Directors Rizwan Ali Mallah and Moiz Hussain Soomro also attended the ceremony.
The event was presided over by SABS University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto.
She praised the students for using their artistic talents to commemorate the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and Defence Day martyrs.
Fine Arts Student Secures First Position
Students from different university departments participated in the competition.
Tahreem Soomro from Fine Arts secured first position. Sara from Communication Design won second position, while Priyanka from Fine Arts secured third position.
The winning students received awards and certificates during the ceremony.
The exhibition concluded with a tribute to the martyrs of September 6, 1965. It also highlighted the role of young artists in preserving national memories through art and creative expression.
