CBD Punjab marks Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with flag-hoisting ceremony

LAHORE, August 14, 2026: The Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) marked Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony at Lahore Prime in the CBD Quaid District.
The event brought together senior officials, officers and staff members of the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA).
CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin attended the ceremony as the chief guest. COO CBD Punjab Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua and senior management also participated.
Flag-hoisting ceremony held in Lahore
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Officials then hoisted the national flag as participants joined in the national anthem.

The gathering reflected a strong spirit of patriotism. Employees expressed their pride in Pakistan and their commitment to the country’s progress.
The ceremony also featured addresses by the CEO and COO of CBD Punjab. A cake-cutting ceremony followed the speeches to mark the 79th Independence Day.
CBD Punjab highlights economic development
Addressing the gathering, Imran Amin said national service should focus on building a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.
He said CBD Punjab’s work reflects patriotism through infrastructure development, investment facilitation and economic opportunities.
Amin described Punjab as a key part of Pakistan’s economy. He said CBD Punjab aims to strengthen the province through modern infrastructure and urban development.
He added that the authority’s projects go beyond roads, buildings and commercial spaces.
According to Amin, these projects can create opportunities for investment, employment and innovation. He said the authority aims to develop infrastructure that can support economic growth for future generations.
National unity highlighted
Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua said the national flag represents the unity, resilience and determination of the Pakistani people.
He said Independence Day is also a reminder of the sacrifices made for Pakistan. He stressed that citizens have a shared responsibility to strengthen the country.
Janjua said CBD Punjab’s development projects form part of that responsibility.
He highlighted the authority’s work in infrastructure, investment and urban development. He said professionalism, discipline and commitment remain central to the organisation’s efforts.
Ceremony ends with Pakistan Zindabad chants
The event concluded with cake cutting and chants of “Pakistan Zindabad”.
CBD Punjab officials and employees expressed solidarity with the nation. They also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic development.
The authority said it will continue working on infrastructure and investment projects aimed at supporting Lahore and Punjab’s wider economic growth.
