KARACHI, September 6, 2026: Renowned business personality and Chairman of Brookes Pharma, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, presenting a copy of the Holy Quran to Dr. Mubashir Chaudhry, Chief Executive Officer of USP Corporate, during a meeting with a high-level trade delegation from Houston, Texas, USA. Also present on the occasion were Pearl Vuobinen, Vice President; Alessandra Lin Mi, Corporate Compliance Manager; Mahmood Ahmad Khan, Managing Director of Star Marketing Pvt Ltd; and Syed Turab Shah, Convener of FPCCI’s Central Standing Committee on Corporate Relations & Communication. A high-level trade delegation from Houston, Texas, met Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan in Karachi to discuss business and investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The delegation held the meeting with Senator Khan, Chairman of Brookes Pharma, at his residence. Discussions focused on economic reforms, investment opportunities and ways to improve Pakistan’s business environment.

The two sides also reviewed Pakistan’s economic situation and prospects for increasing exports. In particular, they explored greater cooperation in the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.

The delegation included Dr. Mubashir Chaudhry, Chief Executive Officer of USP Corporate; Pearl Vuobinen, Vice President; and Alessandra Lin Mi, Corporate Compliance Manager.

Mahmood Ahmad Khan, Managing Director of Star Marketing Pvt Ltd, also attended the meeting. Syed Turab Shah, Convener of FPCCI’s Central Standing Committee on Corporate Relations & Communication, was among the participants.

During the meeting, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan briefed the visiting delegation on Pakistan’s investment environment.

He highlighted government initiatives aimed at supporting economic activity and attracting foreign investors. Khan said Pakistan could offer an attractive market for international businesses.

Focus on Trade and Joint Ventures

Both sides agreed on the need to promote bilateral trade and explore joint ventures.

Pharmaceutical Sector Highlighted

Pharmaceutical cooperation emerged as an important area of discussion during the meeting.

Senator Khan, who chairs Brookes Pharma, highlighted the potential for greater collaboration in the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.

Such cooperation could support investment, technology sharing and business partnerships, while also creating opportunities to expand exports.
