KARACHI — Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akmal, Chairman of the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), visited the PASTIC Sub Centre Karachi (PSCK) on 19 June 2026 to review the Centre’s performance and discuss measures aimed at strengthening institutional effectiveness.
Upon arrival, the Chairman received a warm welcome from Ms. Afsheen Tariq, Assistant Director (STI), and members of her team.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Akmal met employees of the Centre and reviewed ongoing activities, services and overall operational performance. Discussions focused on institutional matters and areas requiring further improvement to support the Centre’s objectives.

Addressing staff members, the Chairman highlighted the importance of increasing productivity, expanding outreach initiatives and improving task execution to meet organisational targets in line with the Foundation’s mandate.
He encouraged employees to continue strengthening service delivery and enhancing institutional performance through greater efficiency and coordinated efforts.
The visit also provided an opportunity for staff to discuss operational matters and share updates on current initiatives undertaken at the Centre.
