Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), visited Quetta on Tuesday to review operational preparedness and meet officers and troops stationed in the province.

During the visit, the field marshal addressed student officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College Quetta.
He praised the institution for maintaining high standards of training, intellectual excellence, and professionalism.
Moreover, he said graduates of the college continue to demonstrate exceptional performance and dedication in military service.
Army Chief Stresses Importance of Modern Warfare Training
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the rapidly changing nature of modern warfare.
He stressed the importance of understanding emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, and tri-services coordination.
In addition, he urged officers to continuously train themselves and their troops for future battlefield challenges.
He also advised them to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, preparedness, and operational excellence.
Pakistan Armed Forces Remain Committed to Eliminating Terrorism
Later, the army chief interacted with officers and troops deployed in Balochistan.
During the interaction, he discussed the prevailing security environment and reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.
He stated that propaganda, fake news, and externally sponsored terrorism cannot stop Pakistan’s progress.
Furthermore, he said hostile forces using proxies and propaganda campaigns will ultimately fail because of the resilience of the state and the unity of the people.
Focus on Development and Stability in Balochistan
The field marshal highlighted the importance of sustainable peace and long-term stability in Balochistan.
According to him, lasting progress depends on inclusive development, improved governance, and a people-centric approach alongside security efforts.
He also appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan to improve public welfare, socio-economic development, and trust between the state and the people.
In addition, he praised the high morale, operational readiness, and professional commitment of officers and troops serving in the province.
Earlier, Commander Quetta Corps received the army chief upon his arrival in Quetta.
