Humnava has launched its fifth song, “Sway,” as part of Season 1 of its international music project focused on collaboration and cultural exchange.
The team created the song at Nasir-e-Khisrow Model Academy in Hunza. Moreover, the peaceful mountain setting of Ghulkin, Gojal inspired the song’s joyful and nostalgic mood.
Xulfi and Sherry Khattak curated the project with artists from different countries. The lineup includes Elijah Bwalya and Joshua Bwalya from Zambia, Peter John Christopher from France, and musicians from Pakistan and Algeria.
In addition, the track blends rabab, Chitrali sitar, acoustic guitar, synth, and percussion to create an uplifting sound.
Xulfi and Zyad Ahmed Tariq wrote the lyrics. Meanwhile, Ali Raza, Shjr Hussain, and Xulfi composed the music.
Xulfi described “Sway” as a reminder of pure happiness and emotional freedom. He said the song reflects the carefree spirit people experience during childhood.
Furthermore, he shared that the mountain school and surrounding landscape shaped the emotional energy of the project.
Soheb Akhtar directed the official music video, while Zain Haleem handled cinematography. Several Pakistani creatives also contributed to styling, art direction, and post-production.
According to Humnava, the platform aims to connect people through music, storytelling, and shared experiences. Therefore, the team continues to organize listening sessions and community gatherings around each release.
Xulfi and Muhammad Ibrahim co-founded Humnava to unite artists from around the world through collaborative music experiences rooted in Pakistan.
“Sway” follows earlier Humnava releases, including “Hairan Amanam,” “Noor-e-Nazar,” “Qataghani,” and “Holoyor.”
Listeners can now watch the song on YouTube and stream it on Spotify.
