Addressing the prestigious “Maarka-e-Haq” ceremony in Karachi, Motiwala paid tribute to the sacrifices and courage of the Pakistan Army, saying the armed forces are not only protectors of the nation’s borders but also the guardians of Pakistan’s economy, industries, and commercial activities.
“When our borders are secure, factory wheels continue to turn, markets remain active, and trade flourishes,” he said. “The bravery and sacrifices of our armed forces are not merely a source of national pride — they form the very foundation of Pakistan’s economic progress and stability.”
Motiwala emphasized that the business community has always held the sacrifices of the armed forces in the highest respect and would continue standing firmly alongside them during every challenge facing the country.
He urged industrialists, traders, and entrepreneurs to place national interests above individual commercial gains, stressing that economic strength is essential for ensuring a strong national defence.
“A strong economy is the biggest guarantee of a strong defence,” he said, adding that strengthening Pakistan’s economy should be treated as a collective national responsibility.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials and prominent members of the business and industrial sectors, including Sector Commander ISPR Sindh, Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Muhammad Farhan Ashrafi, Khalid Riaz, and Tahir Goreja.
A large number of representatives from trade bodies, industries, and civil society also participated in the event, expressing solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces and reaffirming their commitment to national unity and economic resilience.
