KARACHI, May 10, 2026: Pakistan Navy marked the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” with a solemn yet patriotic ceremony at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard, Karachi, paying tribute to the courage, sacrifice and unity of the nation and its armed forces.
The event was held in connection with “Victory Day” celebrations and reflected what naval officials described as the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces to defend the country’s sovereignty at all costs, while honouring the martyrs who laid down their lives during the conflict.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He laid a wreath at the Shuhada Monument and paid homage to the fallen heroes of the armed forces.
Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, Commander Karachi, welcomed the guests and highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s role in safeguarding maritime boundaries. He also praised the collective efforts of Pakistan’s armed forces in ensuring national security during Marka-e-Haq.
A special message from the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff was read out during the ceremony, underscoring the significance of unity among the three services and the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah commended the professionalism, bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces. He stated that Marka-e-Haq stands as a powerful symbol of national unity, resilience and military excellence, reflecting Pakistan’s ability to respond to challenges with strength and coordination.
The ceremony was attended by provincial ministers, senior civil and military officials, members of the business community, and citizens from various walks of life, reflecting broad public participation in the commemorative event.
The Pakistan Navy reiterated its commitment to defending the country’s maritime interests and maintaining readiness against all threats, reaffirming its role as a key pillar of national defence.
