In its latest update, the ministry said 35 people were injured in the same period, raising the total number of wounded to 8,264. The strikes mark a continued escalation despite a temporary ceasefire that has been in place since April 17.

The conflict intensified after cross-border attacks by Hezbollah on March 2, prompting Israel to launch expanded air and ground operations. Since then, more than 1.6 million people have been displaced across Lebanon, according to official figures.

The ceasefire was initially announced by Donald Trump on April 17 as a 10-day truce, later extended by three weeks until May 17. However, ongoing strikes have raised concerns about its effectiveness and durability.

Recent Israeli military warnings have also urged residents of multiple towns in southern Lebanon to move to open areas, signaling the possibility of further operations.

Analysts warn that continued violations of the ceasefire risk deepening the humanitarian crisis and destabilizing the broader region, as international efforts to de-escalate the conflict face growing challenges.
