In an official social media post, Erdo?an referred to the region’s recent tensions, noting that the conflict, which began on February 28 and had pushed the Middle East to the brink of war, now saw a “positive and encouraging development” with the ceasefire announcement.
“The real test now is how effectively this ceasefire can be maintained on the ground,” Erdo?an said, emphasizing that complete adherence to the agreement is essential and that any potential provocations, conspiracies, or disruptive actions must be prevented. He warned that even a minor lapse at this sensitive moment could reignite regional tensions.
Erdo?an praised all countries and individuals who contributed to achieving the ceasefire, particularly recognizing Pakistan as a “friendly and brotherly country” and commending its diplomatic efforts.
“The region has endured prolonged periods of war, conflict, and human suffering. It is time for the people here to enjoy peace, stability, and security,” Erdo?an added.
He stressed that sustainable peace benefits not only the Middle East but the entire world, calling on all parties to act with responsibility, patience, and seriousness.
Erdo?an reaffirmed Turkey’s ongoing commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and reconciliation both regionally and globally, pledging to support any initiative that guides the world from conflict toward stability and prosperity.
