Speakers at the ceremony included Ibn-e-Aas, Faizuddin Ahmed, Tahira Nasir, and the author himself, Ali Haider. Renowned writer Ibn-e-Aas praised Haider, noting that despite this being his first travelogue, the young author exhibits the qualities of a skilled and observant writer. He commended the book’s vivid portrayal of landscapes, towering mountains, and emotional experiences, highlighting its ability to engage and inform readers.

Tahira Nasir stressed the importance of promoting Urdu beyond literature, encouraging young writers to incorporate it into daily life. She noted Ali Haider’s early literary talent and encouraged him to explore fiction writing in the future, praising the strong imagery and word choice in his work.

Faizuddin Ahmed, reflecting on his student’s journey, remarked that although Haider’s academic background is largely in English, he demonstrates exceptional observation and storytelling skills.

Ali Haider shared that his mother, an avid reader of Mirza Ghalib, inspired his passion for poetry. Initially writing in English, he later adapted his work into Urdu. He expressed gratitude to his family and teachers for their support and emphasized the challenge of capturing the essence of nature in words. He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to Urdu literature in the future.

The event highlighted the growing talent of young writers in Pakistan and reinforced the importance of nurturing literary expression in Urdu.
