Karachi Port Handles Over 105,000 Tons of Cargo as 4 Ships Arrive and Depart

In the last 24 hours, Karachi Port witnessed the arrival and berthing of four ships, including one tanker, City Island, and three container vessels — Shang, Celsius Amman, and Tian Jian-19. During the same period, four ships departed, comprising one general cargo vessel, Mokda Nari, and three container ships — Carl Schulte, Future, and TS Mumbai.

A total of 105,980 metric tons of cargo was handled, including 17,589 metric tons of exports and 88,391 metric tons of imports. Export containers accounted for 11,592 metric tons, while import containers reached 20,030 metric tons. Additionally, 346 metric tons of export break bulk and 11,178 metric tons of import bulk cargo were processed.

Under exports, Karachi Port handled 2,329 metric tons of clinker and 972 metric tons of rice. Imports included 564 metric tons of ammonium sulphate, 2,446 metric tons of canola, and 2,819 metric tons of soybean seeds. In the liquid cargo segment, 2,350 metric tons were exported, while imports totaled 52,354 metric tons.
