been designated as the host for the upcoming 6th International Conference of the Pakistan Network of
Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE), scheduled to take place from April 13 to April 15,
2026. This high-profile hosting honors Baqai Medical University’s long-standing leadership in institutional
excellence and its pioneering role in community-oriented medical education.
The prestigious three-day event, held under the theme “Catalyzing Global Citizenship: The Strategic Role
of Quality Assurance in Internationalizing Higher Education,” will transform Karachi into a global hub for
academic discourse. The conference is set to feature an extraordinary lineup of world-renowned keynote
speakers and quality assurance authorities, including Stig Arne Skjerven from Norway, Chair of
UNESCO’s Global Convention on Recognition of Qualifications; Dr. Cato Rolea from the UK, a specialist
in AI strategies and digital transformation; and Dr. Samya Awadh Al Shanfari, Executive Director at
Muscat University, Oman.
The international delegation further includes Prof. Ramazan Bayindir, Vice President of Gazi University,
Turkey; Mr. Simone Ravaioli, a global leader in academic innovation from Italy; and Prof. Dr. Selva Staub,
a prominent evaluator for international accreditation bodies. These experts, along with Dr. Bassam
AlHamad of Bahrain and Daniel Lanz, will join national academic leaders to address the integration of
global benchmarks within the Pakistani higher education framework.
