Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, held a detailed meeting with Mr. Fuad Pashayev, Chief of UNESCO Pakistan, at the UNESCO Office to deliberate on critical education challenges facing the country, with a special focus on the Education Emergency, out-of-school children, and pathways to bring every child back into the classroom. The discussion reflected the Government’s resolve to implement Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of placing education at the core of national development and ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality learning opportunities for all. Both sides explored areas of collaboration in literacy, girls’ education, teacher development, data-driven planning, and education in emergencies, reaffirming their shared commitment to achieving SDG-4 and building a resilient, future-ready education system for Pakistan.
