Karachi – July 11, 2025 : Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, delivered an inspiring address at the National Incubation Center (NIC) at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
While appreciating the innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of the young participants, he said, “It is truly inspiring to see the startups and creative ideas you are nurturing. Our government has always believed in the potential of Pakistani youth.”
He highlighted that under the leadership of the PML-N government, the first-ever Pakistan Youth Policy was introduced in Punjab, which was later adopted by other provinces. The policy included laptops, scholarships, skill-based loans, and the promotion of startups to facilitate youth empowerment.
Rana Mashood noted that those with innovative ideas were provided a conducive environment for skill development and entrepreneurship under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. He added that the National Incubation Centers (NICs) were launched across Pakistan in 2016 to serve as platforms for nurturing startups.
He emphasized that the government has always ensured equal opportunities for youth, regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity.
Speaking on initiatives in digital development, he mentioned the Digital Youth Hub, Pakistan’s largest youth platform that connects young people with job opportunities, education, and entrepreneurship.
Rana Mashood reiterated that youth empowerment remains a key vision of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, who believes in positively engaging the youth for national development.
In a broader geopolitical context, he remarked, “Pakistan achieved success in the recent Bunyan al-Marsoos conflict due to the country’s atomic capability, a result of visionary leadership by former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.”
He concluded by urging the youth to remain vigilant and play their role in countering the threats of 5th generation warfare through knowledge, unity, and digital resilience.
