The Foreign Press Center lives up to its mission:

Our mission is to deepen understanding of U.S. policy and American values through engagement with foreign media. We provide clear and accurate understanding of policy and American values to global audiences via first-hand access.

Foreign Press Center lives up to its core aspects of “depth, accuracy and balance of foreign reporting” from the U.S. by providing “direct access to authoritative American information sources” to its credentialed foreign media.

Washington Foreign Press Center is situated, in the heart of Washington D.C., in proximity with the White House and Metro center main station. It is situated on 8th Floor of the National Press Building on 14th Street NW, Washington D.C.

Since many years, FPC engages to credential the journalists from all over the world coming to America for foreign reporting, thus granting them access to “authoritative American information sources.”. It keeps on inspiring many on American values and U.S. diplomacy.

The invitation extended to all the credentialed foreign media carried timing of 11 am to 1 pm, with an announcement of light lunch, drinks and beverages.

The invite carried the aroma of warm welcome and the FPC greeted the journalists with hospitality and smile giving an implicit and explicit message that “we are thrilled to announce that the newly renovated Washington Foreign Press Center is open for business!”

A large sized, beautiful white cake, carrying logo of Washington FPC was ready to be cut, officially signifying “we are open for business”

Assistant Secretary Michelle Guida, presided at FPC Washington Foreign Press re-opening ceremony of the newly renovated facilities and she said, “we’re pleased so many of you were able to join us”.

The newly arrived FPC Director Caroline Savage was seen mingling with the foreign journalists and said she enjoyed meeting many journalists today. She looks forward to getting to know “more of you in the months and years to come”.

Director Foreign Press Centers, Caroline Savage, further added that she was particularly grateful to their full Foreign Press Centers team who underwent great disruption to their work over the past few months.
