According to the latest international trade data, Mexico tops the list as the world’s largest mango exporter, with annual exports valued at $575.4 million, accounting for roughly 25% to 38% of global mango exports.
The Netherlands comes in second, exporting mangoes worth $381.7 million, followed by Brazil at $315.7 million and India at $154 million.
Pakistan ranks fifth globally, with mango exports worth around $108.6 million, contributing approximately 4.6% to the world market.
Despite being fifth in export value, Pakistani mangoes are globally acclaimed for their unmatched sweetness and aroma.
Mango cultivation plays a vital role in Pakistan’s agriculture, especially in Punjab and Sindh, where the fruit is harvested between May and September. The country grows over 200 varieties, with Sindhri and Chaunsa being the most famous and in-demand varieties worldwide.
